Just wondering - some people really took to ut3, many did not. Some say the interface was for console players, not pc gamers.
I've not heard or read of any thoughts by video game companies as to a continuation of the series. I think Midway was bought by another company and have no idea where Epic stands.
Your thoughts? _________________ Oooosssss!!!!

According to this, the Unreal 4 engine should be out by sometime in 2012 . . . whether that means a 2012 or 2013 release for UT4 I have no idea . . .

Unreal engine doesn't necessarily mean Unreal game. I'm not sure I'm interested anyway after the botched UT3 console port. With Epic blowing off pc gamers, I don't know how much I care about them anymore. _________________ I've got your back

The original release of UT3 did have a sad excuse for an interface, but the 2.0 "Black edition" patch made UT3 wat it should have been from the start. Too little too late for some tho. I still play and enjoy the game.
I think UT3 was doomed from the start after the rift created by UT2004. It was so different from the original UT it created two different UT communities. When UT3 came out it wasn't what either group was expecting.
UT4 is in the works, they already have a blog here www.ut4.com. Hopefully they learned their lesson after the UT3 backlash from diehard fans. |

I'll be watching any UT4 development that happens. I doubt I'll preorder, but who knows. Maybe if they include a free Tshirt or something :^D I haven't completely given up on Epic, but it seems like they've completely given up on the PC. We'll see.
I'd love to see the UT franchise continue. People don't seem to like arena combat the way they used to though. The learning curve's very steep, but I think it's more rewarding than other shooting styles :^) _________________ I've got your back
